|
ALTIN NEEM controls pests like cicadellids, true bugs, white flies, scales, aphids, psyla, trips, etc.
Neem oil is extracted from the seeds of a tree (Azadirachta indica) and has many applications: medicinal, veterinarian, cosmetic and agricultural. Its insecticide effect is due to the limonoids (triterpenes) that contains, the most noticeables are: azadirachtin, salannin, nimbin and meliantriol.
The effect on different insects is produced trough several ways:
- egg, larva and pupa development are interrupted
- moulting process in larvae and nymphs are impeded
- mating and sexual communication are interrupted
- repellent effect on larvae and adults
- females stop laying eggs
- sterilization of adults
- larva and adult poisoning
- treated plants are not eaten
- swallow capacity is lost
- erroneous metamorphosis in several stages
- chitin fomation is inhibited
The most important and special effect is the inhibition of the larva juvenile hormone (ecdysone), which produces the lack of moulting, the permanence in larva stage and finally its death.
ALTIN NEEM doesn’t harm beneficial insects because they don’t eat the plant. If applied early in the morning or in the evening, it will be dry by the time of highest activity.
ALTIN NEEM, thanks to its carefully made formulation, has two additional advantages in front of similar products:
- total systemia (root application is also possible)
- protection against UV radiation
