ALTOSAN is an aqueous solution of chitosan, extracted from marine crustacean shells.
ALTOSAN applied on any plant tissue (leaves, roots or fruits) induces the appearance of substances inside the plant (phytoalexins) that defend from pathogen fungus attack.
Among these sustances there are enzymes (chitinases, glucanases, etc.) and phenolic compounds (tannins, etc.).
ALTOSAN exerts a biostimulant effect that increases the development of roots and naturally controls pathogen nematodes.
ALTOSAN protects crops without creating resistances, without leaving chemical residues and with no danger for the appliers.
