The importance of Calcium
Low-calcium content fruits develop, during their storage and their placing on the market, physiopathies that cause a lost of value.
Some of these physiopathies are the following: bitter pit and lenticel blotch pit (apple), blossom-end-rot (tomato), tip-burn (lettuce), cracking, etc.
Calcium doesn’t move from leaves to fruits, so the fruits must be sprayed directly in order to provide Calcium.
